Due to the complexity of tracheoesophageal development, a wide range of variations can occur in esophageal atresia. We have described here a 0-day-old boy with esophageal atresia type IIIb6. Esophagography showed a long overlapping upper pouch resembling esophageal stenosis. Gastrostomy is useful for the therapeutic diagnosis of such a case.
